Hello, I am Greg Cirillo and I am running for Commissioner of Ward I in Lower Merion Township. I am doing so because I believe Lower Merion is a wonderful place in which to grow up and live and I want to participate in the process of addressing the complex and difficult issues it now faces. A lifelong resident of Lower Merion, I was born on Hamilton Road in Merion Park, where my family lived from 1961-66. In 1966, my family relocated to Bryn Mawr Avenue in Penn Valley where my brother, sister and I attended Lower Merion Public Schools -- Penn Valley Elementary School, Welsh Valley Middle School, and Harriton High School. After high school, I lived at home in Penn Valley while pursuing both my undergraduate and law degrees at Villanova University.
As a commissioner, I promise to bring a fresh, enthusiastic, and independent voice to our Board. I believe in fiscal responsibility, open space preservation, and comprehensive planning for our future. I believe that government should not take money from you by increasing your tax burden until it is clearly needed. I believe that commissioners should protect and preserve our existing residential neighborhoods and work to improve traffic flow and traffic safety. Finally, I promise to fight for what is right for the residents of Lower Merion.
Thank you for your support.
